Autumn flavors…

It's no secret that squash is in season. Some people turn them into scary lanterns, but it's just as much fun to make delicious dishes with them. Children will love the delicately caramelized custards... but squash is also excellent in creamy soups, purées or as a simple side dish, like sweet potatoes.

To match the Arlaux Brut Grand Bourgeois, we opted for the latter.

Thin slices of butternut squash add a touch of autumn color to this puff pastry of goat's cheese, chestnuts and mushrooms. A few grey oyster mushrooms, just pan-fried, add notes of undergrowth to this pretty autumn dish.

So, for the pleasure of celebrating the season...

Let’s celebrate the autumn colors with some Arlaux Brut Grand Bourgeois!

Fitting the image of generous and provocative pleasure sprung from centuries past, Arlaux Brut Grand Bourgeois possesses both the fullness and extravagance as those of the rarest of wines. Reserved for knowledgeable connoisseurs, this champagne is elaborated from a single variety: the tender, fleshy Pinot Meunier born from very old vine trees. After fermentation it is left to mature thoroughly over settlings before bottling.

With a lovely colour of pale gold, it is light and creamy. Its nose of a bouquet of Autumn fruits with hints of walnut and ripe grapes is a real delicacy that matches with the most delicate dishes like a cheese and walnut feuilleté or some simply paned grey oyster mushrooms on a bed of butternut squash. An arrival upon the palate, the Brut Grand Bourgeois is frank and supple and remarkably long…
